welcome

Thank you for your interest in the Kansas Rural Health Association (KsRHA)! Rural Kansas includes approximately 911,000 residents (roughly 30%) out of an estimated state-wide population of nearly 3 million. While most Kansans have health insurance, 9.2% of Kansas residents lack health insurance (Kaiser, 2019). Healthcare institutions in rural Kansas include 82 Critical Access Hospitals (hospitals with 25 or less beds), 176 Rural Health Clinics, 42 Qualified Health Center sites and 28 short-term hospitals.

Beginning as a small informal group of like-minded rural advocates, we have since expanded to a broad-based statewide association through which rural health stakeholders from every corner of Kansas can have a seat at the table and a united voice. Join us! We are excited to link arms with interested parties to create a healthier future for all Kansans in our beautiful state!
