Healthcare workforce will remain a challenge for the foreseeable future. In the past, most of the attention has been paid to the needs of the graduating residents. The purpose of this panel is to examine the perspectives of the new learners in the system as they develop their ideas about rural health care. We would like to invite an exchange of ideas on the best ways to recruit and retain the future health care workers of Kansas.
The Kansas Association for the Medically Underserved (KAMU) Annual Conference provides an opportunity for primary care, dental, and behavioral health professionals to meet, share experiences, and learn from the best. The two day conference will feature dynamic, national health care professionals leading ground-breaking efforts to navigate the challenges, changes, and opportunities on the path to achieving health equity.
